Jak Wyglada Mała Wiewiorka

2008 Puech Auger Les Dolomies

2008 Puech Auger Les Dolomies , one of last year's best reafynd. The producer is in Montpeyroux, Languedoc, a village that seems to have its own appellation status in AOC'n Terrasses du Larzac.

The wine is dense red, almost black in the glass. Sega tears flowing along the inside of the glass and the nose is filled by an open, pleasing aroma - dull, meaty, with violets, pepper and sweet fruits. It is barrskogskryddigt and inviting, with a little piercing fatton who does not gain the upper hand. It will be really eager to take a sip.

taste is pure candy shop - blueberries, blackberries and licorice. It pulls slightly to the overloaded fruity, dark, drab and alcohol strong side, actually a bag I'm pretty tired. But this is enough acidity, minerality and alertness to the wine should be dangerously drinkable. It has a surprisingly soft and smooth mouth feel. An initial bitterness in the tail is blown in well with the big picture after one hour. There are the usual suspects in the southern French blends - syrah, grenache, maybe some Mourvèdre and Carignan - probably with an emphasis on syrah.

Ok - it does not happen so much more, there are not many more dimensions to sniff and taste their way to. And it's not the point, this is not for to sit deep and meditate on. For spicy game sausage, pasta and a tomato and zucchini salsa is good. And while I'm snobbish and magsurt think that there is enough complexity to keep things interesting, is all of a sudden the very most out of the bottle uppdrucket.

last copy I tried it, maybe six months ago, I felt a bit boring. This is mostly just good company. Puech Auger Les Dolomies cost just over a hundred patches when it was launched, then reads it out for 85 pix or so.
