Pietracupa, Greek Saints Dimitri

white wine Greco di Tufo is with Fiano d'Avellino and the red Taurasi the big three DOCG'er in Campania. All lies in the province of Avellino east of Naples and offers some of southern Italy absolute best wines of both colors. Avellino is coastal and high and the climate is more reminiscent of northern Italy than the hot south.
Pietracupa has a total of 6 acres and top manufacturer of all three DOCG wines, especially whites grown from high-lying fields.

Light, golden yellow color. Very mineral and fresh nose, with marked apples with pear and citrus clove and underlying complexity of delicate (white) flowers, fresh leaves and sukat.
Fresh and clean in taste with extreme acid, which immediately attacks the whole mouth. Apple fruit over and behind the wall acid dolls in midtpaleten a nice sweet undercurrent of flowers and sukat forward together with a delicate, delicate basil. The acid tank lever and tighten really well in the finish, where the bitter minerality are so powerful that it approaches a tannin-like feeling (!). Flint and bitter tones dominate also the aftertaste along with the sleek, acidic Granny Smith fruit and tender (basil-) leaves.

Delicious, medium full-bodied white wine in a very tough - but still elegant - style and unmistakable quality. Acid and bitterness dominates dramatically and it is not very intense in flavor and fruit filling - seems quite closed at present. Reportedly can be crucial to saving the match Brazilian white wine and you sense a complex and broader palette, which has not yet unfolded.
