Why we mothers can not claim a right to safer streets for pedestrians and cyclists within the no-stri countries? Why we are not free to organize our days without having to take the kids to school first, then to the gym to music lessons? Because the city has become so dangerous and hostile to our citizens young and old?
But then why do not we start thinking about embarking on a path change in attitude and awareness of to improve the quality of our life-ties? The conclusion is obvious but not trivial: all we have to commit! In addition to the direct election of mayors we have a great opportunity: influence local politics!
To start a virtuous circle we need to change the no-stri lifestyles and our city as a parameter using the needs of children and not adults because the city will be fine if the child will most certainly like the mom with the stroller , to the elderly, the disabled and thus all of us .
