I-catcher Console-web Monitor:

Syrah 2007 Le Due Terre Pinot Nero

Producers Le Due Terre is a major reason for my fascination with the Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Egedomen powered by Silvana Forte and Flavio Basilicata . They have 4 hectares of vineyards and annually produces about 20,000 bottles. Le Due Terre focuses mainly on the local grapes but unlike most others in the area make the predominantly red wines. The portfolio consists of the cuvée Sacrisassi bianco (tocai and Ribolla gialla) and rosso (schioppettino and Refosco). Then do it two single grape variety on the assimilated varieties, a merlot and a pinot nero. Tonight I tried I am the last-mentioned.

Le Due Terre production is completely organic and has a non-interventionist förhållninssätt. However, I do not think you belong to an organization without running after its own regulations. All wines are aged in barrique ica two years, which is rare in these contexts. I have no data on how much that is new. Furthermore, it does not matter for the dishes are masterfully handled, and I have never been disturbed by any excessive ekkomponent when I tried Le Due Terre wines.

2007 Le Due Terre Pinot Nero is bright red, pale and completely transparent. The scent changes shape a number of times during the evening with delightful raspberry / strawberry flavors that only constant. At the opening dominated the smell of boiled cabbage and rotten leaves. Most of it will disappear and the autumn leaves remain in the background. The fruit may be more leeway with good kryddtoner, a light puff paint and clear minerality. Over time, it is really an elegant ballerina who show up.

At first, the acid is almost overwhelming. The wine is very easy and the structure is almost white-like. With aeration it opens up the wine and the acidity is balanced by sweet wild strawberries and raspberries. Krydderierna seconded clearly but subtly and suddenly it feels wine is not as easy anymore. There is a graceful indomitable strength of the taste that is somehow persevering without being intrusive. Strong, elegant and graceful. Inviting but with great integrity. Acids gives extra boost and the aftertaste lingers long. Tannins are seamlessly silky.

In the Italian wine guide, the most that Le Due Terre produce top rankings. The only wine that you usually have some reservations about is a great Pinot Nero. "Easy to drink and charming" usually the reviews are summarized for. There is also Le Due Terre cheapest wine. For my part, it is without a doubt the best of their wines I tried. Difficult not to parallels to easily nebbiolo, nerello mascalese or burgundy.

Finn Klysner / DWC Wine import to Denmark and apply the unit price of Le Due Terre wines, 250 DKK / bottle. Le Due Terre has no website.
