Salento IGT 2009 Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Rosso

Tenuta delle Terre Nere is the major exporter Marc de Grazia own property and darling of the Etna volcano in Sicily. Etna Rosso is the basic version Generation Nerello mascalese with a small proportion (2%) Nerello Cappuccio - both from sticks planted in 1927 and 1967 in 650-900 meters. Stores and a half years in barrels of different sizes.

Light transparent ruby \u200b\u200bred with bright purple reflections. Fantastic ethereal nose with lacquer, almond essence, light leather and mint together with fruits of raspberries, apples and plums and a floral, sweet fragrance plus green, stalked touch.
Juicy, very bright berry, plum and a little immature apples taste is velvety front and increases in intensity toward a frenzied nice touch with sounding acid, licorice and thoroughly drying tannins in a super perfect harmony. It's really juicy and it's like taking bites of the wine here. The acid is impressive in the aftertaste along with chalk mineral and mint, but the fruit may lack a little fullness at the trailing edge and turns to hop actually comes a little Alsterwasser-vibes on your tongue.
It is impossible not to think of Piedmont - Grignolino and Nebbiolo - but there is still the Nerello-typical perfume that is unmistakeable. A great pleasure to smell and estimates of the structure. It's like this one young, fresh wine should be! Diving a bit of food when the finer nuances slowly disappearing, but it is not because it is fragile - Functionality is the high acidity, intense tannins and sleek style of course top notch. But drink it not too dark / fatty foods, cheese / sausage or white meat will be optimal.
I like it (especially the scent) at the opening where the ethereal tones are at max and a small green branched similarity emphasizes the hardness. If you want it a little rounder, you can give it some air. 110 kr at Enoteca .
